Being overweight is a very personal problem associated with very real personal pain. Excess weight contributes to painful medical problems such as diabetes type II, heart problems, wear and tear of hip and knee joints, lower back pain, etc.
Just as painful is the daily emotional pain of low self-esteem, low self-confidence, and feeling unattractive and unlovable.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to have your weight no longer be an issue in your life? Can you imagine how it would be to look in the mirror and to feel pleased with how you look? Unless you have a genetic predisposition to morbid obesity, it is possible lose weight and regain your self-confidence.

Did you know that research proves hypnosis is a very effective method of weight loss?
For example, in January 2004, Dateline NBC aired a program wherein hypnosis proved to be very effective lose weight method, ranking second of six diet methods.
Hypnosis is such an effective method of losing weight that it is one of the most frequent reasons persons turn to hypnotherapy.
My hypnosis program is NOT a diet. Weight lost by dieting typically is put back on within two years. Moreover the entire tone of approaching losing weight through dieting is one of deprivation.
Instead, my hypnosis program focuses upon your developing a health lifestyle and skills in relationship to food that not only leads to weight loss, but also sustains your continued health long after you've attained your ideal weight goal.
I don't ask you to deprive yourself of the legitimate pleasures of eating. Instead, I ask that you add to your life the pleasures of health, fitness, energy, pride, and self-esteem.
Details of My Hypnosis Program to Lose Weight
Session 1: Our first session is two hours long. It's long, because there's alot that we do. First I guide you through a 45-minute interview to obtain a detailed understanding of your relationship to food. As you know, our relationship to food is complex. There can be so many different reasons as to why we are overweight: emotional support, food allergies, family history, sexual abuse, stress, are just a few of the many factors that contribute to weight problems. How can your efforts to lose weight be successful without understanding your unique relationship to food?
During our interview, we will specify your overall weight loss goal. We'll also specify an interim goal for your first month. Typically this will be 8 pounds less than your starting weight. Of course my clients are eager to lose even more weight, but a safe and realistic goal is to lose 8 pounds a month.
Some clients do lose more, sometimes significantly more, in a month, but that is not typical. Your monthly goal provides you a realistic interim goal whose acievement helps to motivate your continuing success and progress towards your overall goal.
I also provide you food journal worksheets with which you will track just the food that you eat over the the time that we work together. You're not counting calories or points.
For some clients, just filling out the chart is an eye-opener helping them to understand some the eating behaviors which have contributed to their weight problems. For others, keeping a journal keeps their focus upon their goal to become more healthy, more fulfilled.
After my interviewing you, I then discuss hypnosis with you. I explain hypnosis to your satisfaction, answering any questions that you may have about hypnosis. I'll also explain what you can look forward to during your first hypnosis experience. I want to make sure that you feel totally comfortable with hypnosis. After all, for most of us, hypnosis is a new experience.
After answering all of your questions, I'll hypnotize you, and we begin your weight loss hypnosis program. Your hypnosis will be recorded on a CD so that you can listen daily to your CD between sessions in the comfort of your own home. This will give you a daily hypnosis session which will compound the effectiveness of the work that we do in person.
Sessions 2 and 3: The second and third sessions are 50-minute long, and are scheduled at weekly intervals after the first session. In each session, we track your progress, and note areas with which you may want to have a special focus applied during the hypnosis work. This information and the information gleaned from your interview will help me to customize my hypnotic suggestions to your individual needs. I focus especially on developing your positive lifestyle skills in relation to food and exercise. The fact that my approach is tailored or customized to you as an individual significantly enhances your success.
Bi-Weekly Reinforcement and Support Sessions: After the third weekly session, we then meet every other week until you achieve your overall goal. Each new month we specify a new interim monthly goal. Of course in each of these sessions, we do hypnosis, and I provide you a CD recording of our work for you to listen to on a daily basis.
What kind of results do people get from my program?
Here are some examples of the kinds of success my clients have experienced::
• Middle-aged lady in 50s: As of Session 2, lost 5 lbs., Session 3: 0 lbs., Session 4: another 4 lbs., Session 5: Another 7 lbs. Her boss noticed her weight loss, and he became a client.
• Middle-aged man in 50s: As of Session 2, 12 lbs (I have no idea how or why this man lost 12 lbs in one week.. most likely some significant water loss). I don't attribute it entirely to hypnosis. Session 3: 3 lbs., Session 4: another 2 lbs., Session 5: another 6 lbs.
• Another middle-aged woman in 50s: As of Session 2, lost 5 lbs., Session 3: 5 lbs., Session 4: another 2 lbs., Session 5: Another 8lbs. Her personal trainer noticed the difference, and requested business cards for referrals
• Another middle-aged man in 50s: As of Session 2, lost 0 lbs. (didn't weigh himself), Session 3: 0lbs. (didn't weigh himself),, Session 4: 22 lbs. (from his presumed start), Session 5: Another 9lbs.
